A free, fun event that provides a developmental screening for children 1 month to 5 years old, interactive learning activities, and access to community resources.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all Books, Balls, and Blocks events are currently postponed.
Books, Blocks and Balls (BBB) is a free interactive community fun, event that features themed learning activity stations in which children can engage in. One of the main focuses of the event is child-led play. BBB also offer services such as a free child developmental screening (1- month to 5 ½ years) completed by parents which help them learn and track their child’s milestones. By attending our event families also gain connection to several community resources and more!
Ages and Stages Questionnaire-3: The ASQ-3 provides a reliable and accurate developmental screening for children ages 1 month -5 ½. The ASQ-3 is completed by parents/caregivers and reviewed by our trained professionals. By using parent’s knowledge, the ASQ-3 has been specifically created to capture a child’s progress and skills, as well as catch if there is at risk for developmental delays. The screening focuses on important areas of development such as Communication, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Problem Solving skills, and Personal-Social.
