One of the main focuses of the event is child-led play. Even if the child stays in one place or is bouncing back and forth between activities, we encourage families to follow the lead of their child. Books, Balls and Blocks also offer services such as child developmental screening (ASQ-3) to help learn and track your young child’s milestones. By attending our event you also gain connection to several community resources and more!
Ages and Stages Questionnaire-3: The Ages and Stages Questionnaire 3rd edition (ASQ-3) provides reliable and accurate developmental screening for children between the ages of 0-5 ½ years . By using parent’s knowledge, the ASQ-3 has been specifically created to mark developmental progress and catch if there is a risk for delays within young children. With its simple design and flexibility in administration, ASQ-3 can be completed within a variety of settings. From Child Care centers to Pediatricians the ASQ-3 is useful to all. It focuses on important areas of development such as Communication, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Problem Solving skills, and Personal-Social.
