WEBINAR: The NJ Birth to Three Early Learning Standards: Domain IV- Cognitive Development
Babies enter the world ready to learn and they begin immediately to acquire and process new information. Infant/ Toddler caregivers will explore the multiple ways in which the NJ Birth to Three Early Learning Standards supports the cognitive development of the children within their care. Caregivers will be given the opportunity to identify and model strategies to assist in providing developmentally appropriate interactions that focus on the components of, exploration and discovery, memory, problem solving, and imagination and symbolic play. In this session, learn about the NJ Birth to Three Early Learning Standards components of cognitive development, and how caregivers can support infants and toddler by assuring that the environment is free of hazards so that infants and toddlers may explore safely and make modifications in the environment so that all children, including those with special needs, have similar access to exploration and learning opportunities.
