STOP THAT RUNNING!
If the children in your care are constantly running, then this training is for you.
Children learn through moving their bodies! This workshop will delve into 3 components of physical and motor development that are essential for emerging abilities. Participants will learn teaching strategies to support gross motor development, fine motor development, and physical health and well-being. We’ll review motor development milestones of infants and toddlers between birth and 36 months. Infants and toddlers learn about themselves, others, and their environment through the use of their motor skills and abilities and their increasing ability to coordinate their hands, arms, legs and their whole body. In this session participants will take an in depth look into and develop an understanding of children’s developing growth and motor skills, brain growth and development including basic reflexes in infants, small motor skills and manipulation, large motor skills and locomotion, and encouraging self-help skills and fostering motor development.
