The term “touchpoints” was first coined by T. Berry Brazelton to describe vulnerable periods of development that some adults may find especially challenging. These points of time in the child’s development are of heightened vulnerability for both child and family, during which health, education and other professionals serving children and their families can touch into the family system to help keep development on track. In this workshop, we will explore the philosophy of Brazelton Touchpoints and this relationship-based approach to working with children and families.
