This training will incorporate AAP HEALTHY FUTURES- five modules, which includes information on preparing, administering and documenting medication in early education and child care settings. In this workshop you will learn how to safely administer medications to children, key information that should be included in your medication policies, when medication should be given, and how to respond to requests from parents regarding administering medications. The participant will also learn about special needs care plans, how to recognize signs and symptoms of an asthma episode, asthma medication delivery systems, signs and symptoms of a life threatening allergic reaction and how to administer an Epi-Pen to a child in an emergency . The workshop will be divided into 2 sessions. Both sessions must be attended to complete the training. *Current CPR and First Aid Certification is preferred
