GUIDING CHILDREN’S BEHAVIOR (Mini-Series)
The first of four modules in a training series with a focus on using guidance to promote the development of self-regulation skills, purposefully nurture social and emotional competence, and intentionally create engaging environments that are developmentally appropriate and encourage positive behavior in young children.
Module 1: The YOU Factor
Before we talk about the children, let’s talk about you. Take part in a dynamic examination of the critical role each educator plays in guiding the behavior of young children. Using the lens of self-reflection, you will take a close look at the significant factors that impact your work and your relationship with the children in your care. Join your colleagues in an interactive exploration of factors such as temperament, approaches to teaching, professional beliefs and values, and the challenges of reacting vs. responding.
